GitHub Keyword Monitor — Track Repos, Issues & PRs Mentioning Your Keyword

Know the moment GitHub talks about your project, your competitor, or the problem you solve. GitHub Keyword Monitor is a no-code github keyword monitor and github mention tracker that watches any keyword, brand, or library across repositories, issues, and pull requests and delivers fresh matches as clean, structured data. Powered by the official, free GitHub Search API — no key required (add a free token for higher limits).

Perfect for developer-tool lead generation, open-source competitor tracking, and brand monitoring on the world's largest code host.

Use cases

  • Lead generation for devtools — find new repos and issues using (or asking for) a library like yours, and engage the authors.
  • Competitor tracking — watch competitor names appear in new repos, issues, and PRs.
  • Brand & OSS monitoring — get alerted when your project is forked into new tools or mentioned in issues.
  • Ecosystem research — map who is building around a technology and how fast it's growing.

How to use

  1. Enter your keywords (product names, libraries, competitors).
  2. Pick what to search — repositories, issues & PRs, or both.
  3. Run it — or schedule it daily on Apify Schedules.
  4. Export or automate — CSV/Sheets, or Slack/webhook/Make/Zapier via Apify integrations.

Pricing

Simple pay-per-event: a small fee per run start + a small fee per result found. A typical daily run costs a few cents. Empty runs cost almost nothing (a tiny "no results" marker, not charged per result).

FAQ

Do I need an API key? No. It uses the public GitHub Search API. Unauthenticated search is limited to ~10 requests/minute; add a free GitHub token (no scopes needed) to raise it to 30/min for heavier runs.

How fresh is the data? Real-time. sort = new returns the most recently created/updated repos and issues first.

What if a run finds nothing? It writes one informational item per keyword so the dataset is never empty, at near-zero cost.
